Rescued arctic fox Lucky in an enclosure at a Polish wildlife rehabilitation centre. Lucky and his brother Lulus were rescued from a Polish fox fur farm in Druzyn. Their rescue was part of the largest intervention of a fox fur farm in Poland, undertaken by the animal advocacy organization Open Cages (Otwarte Klatki). The farm owner was imprisoned, and the farm closed. The farm had left the foxes unattended for several days, and animals were dying of thirst and hunger. Some of the stronger of the dozens of starving foxes were cannibalizing the weaker ones. Twenty-one foxes were saved from the farm and sent to several sanctuaries around Poland.
